A compressor is a device for the production of compressed air, which is mainly used in the industrial sector (CNC machining, painting, use of various types of pneumatic tools), but also in the field of healthcare (laboratories, dental and eye surgeries,...) or in the food industry. It is often an integral part of the workshop of many a home craftsman (driving pneumatic tools, inflating tires, swimming pools...). By construction
and the principle on which they work, we divide them into two basic groups - piston (oil, oil-free) and screw. At the same time, these are the most common types that the average customer comes into contact with. Other types of compressors include e.g. membrane, lamellar, spiral, etc.
